Wichita native Jaylyn Agnew Dazzles in Front of Her Home Crowd
Returning home for the second time in her career, junior Jaylyn Agnew was dominant with 22 points in the Bluejays’ 83-71 win at Wichita State on Dec. 8. Sidelined for four games with a partially torn tendon in her shooting hand, Agnew stepped back in the starting lineup and knocked down six treys.
Agnew was adamant about wanting to return to the floor before facing the Shockers from her hand injury and fortunately her body cooperated. Agnew got back on the floor for 33 minutes against the Mavericks, knocking any rust off as she went 5-of-9 from the field and grabbed nine rebounds.
