Florida Point out landed welcomed depth at the quarterback place Sunday.

Previous 3-star quarterback Wyatt Rector of Leesburg Substantial announced by using Twitter that he is transferring to FSU just after one season at Western Michigan. Rector will have to sit out the 2019 season except if he gets a hardship waiver from the NCAA. 

“Excited to announce that I will be continuing my soccer career at Florida Point out University,” Rector announced on his individual Twitter. account.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound quarterback hails from Leesburg, northwest of Orlando, and was the No. 31 dual-risk quarterback in the 2018 recruiting course. He chose WMU out of higher college about provides from Kent Point out, Virginia and Florida Atlantic.

As a senior at Leesburg in 2017, Rector amassed 3,242 passing yards, 918 speeding yards and experienced 44 overall touchdowns (26 passing, 18 speeding).

He experienced two yards on one carry in his only season at WMU and was announced as a transfer to Division-II Lenoir-Rhyne back again in January.

Rector will have 4 yrs of eligibility at FSU. He’ll be a desired wander-on, but Noles247 described that he could receive a scholarship this season if he receives  a hardship waiver from NCAA for speedy eligibility.

Rector’s addition provides the Seminoles 4 quarterbacks  — redshirt sophomore James Blackman, redshirt freshman wander-on Nolan McDonald and redshirt freshman Louisville transfer Jordan Travis.

Travis and Rector’s eligibility for the 2019 season keep on being unclear at this time.
