Florida State star defensive end Brian Burns is skipping his senior year to enter the NFL draft. Yahoo! Sports first reported the news.
The move is not a surprise. Burns had a strong junior season to cement himself as a likely first-round pick. The 6-foot-5, 231-pound Fort Lauderdale native finished tied for ninth nationally with 10 sacks. His 24 career sacks are the fifth most in program history.
Thank you Florida State University for some of the BEST years of my life. Through prayer and the help of my family and coaches, I believe I made the right decision for me. I will forever LOVE my team and my school! #NoleBlooded #ForeverANole -Spider-Burns https://t.co/8tprHmzQ1T
