Florida State has extended an offer to Chantilly (Va.) Westfield three-star outside linebacker Eugene Asante, after visiting with him on Monday.
He has been one of the fastest-rising prospects across the nation since the Early Signing Period concluded. His offer list has swelled to two-dozen offers in total.
FSU has been in contact with the 6-foot-1, 212-pound linebacker for a few weeks. His primary recruiter is FSU linebackers coach Raymond Woodie. Woodie visited him on Monday.
The Seminoles signed three linebackers during the Early Signing Period, but would like to add one more with the right mix of size and speed.
The Seminoles are hoping to host him for an official visit, potentially the weekend of Jan. 25th.
Asante has already used an official visit to Virginia Tech and he was at UCLA this past weekend. He is scheduled to see TCU this coming weekend.
