
Florida State Baseball will strike the diamond on Mike Martin Discipline at Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla. on Friday at 4 p.m. for their initial match of the year. The Seminoles open their 2019 year by hosting Maine. The Seminoles and Black Bears will participate in a 4-match weekend collection, with a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday and a collection finale on Sunday afternoon.

Moving into the year, FSU’s two most notable players are junior third baseman Drew Mendoza and junior starting up pitcher Drew Parrish, the two of whom gained many preseason honors from different publications.

FSU went 43-19 final year, including 16-13 in Atlantic Coastline Meeting participate in, but gained the ACC Tournament going 4- in Durham, N.C. They created the NCAA Tournament, but went -2 in the Tallahassee Regional losing to Samford and Mississippi State.

The 2019 edition of the Seminoles returns 15 letterwinners from their 2018 club. A overall of 14 players from final year’s roster have departed. They return 7 position players, although they shed 9.
