Sure, there’s a game going on, but recruiting never stops. While the FSU team was battling Canisius in the early going of Monday night’s tilt, Naheem McLeod was announcing his college choice. And much to the coaching staff’s delight, he chose Florida State:
McLeod is an intriguing recruit. He’s definitely a project, but he has high major athleticism and is significantly more advanced than Christ Koumadje was at the same stage. Still, he’ll take time to develop, but FSU is also bringing in top-60 recruit Balsa Koprivica who will likely start from day one.
Depending on where you look, McLeod is somewhere between 7-0 and 7-3, and between 190 pounds and 245 pounds. We’ll go with 7-1, 215. The recruiting team at 247 sports has him as a 4*, but on the composite ranks he is a 3* and the No. 182 recruit in the nation.
He chose Florida State over Rhode Island.
He joins a deep class of Koprivica, Nathanael Jack, Patrick Williams, and Zimife Nwokeji, which is ranked as the No. 11 class in the nation. FSU has five seniors, so officially the class if full, but expect them to take at least one more recruit.
