Florida was scheduled to host Florida State defensive line commit Quashon Fuller for an official visit this weekend. The Gators have been trying to flip the Lehigh Acres (Fla.) Lehigh four-star for several months.
However, the trip to Gainesville is off. Fuller will now take an official visit to Louisville this weekend. The relationship with Fuller and UF became contentious after a very public spat on Twitter with former Gators standout Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. Fuller did not plan to bring his mother, a very critical figure in his recruitment, to Gainesville during this weekend’s official visit, making a flip from FSU to UF very unlikely.
Auburn hosted Fuller on an official visit back in December and LSU, Alabama, and FSU are other trips he plans to take prior to National Signing Day.
The 247Sports Composite, an industry generated average, currently ranks Fuller as the nation’s No. 203 overall prospect and the No. 15 strong-side defensive end in the 2019 recruiting class.
The Florida Gators are still expected to host a rather loaded official visitor list this coming weekend. You can find a preview of UF’s visitor list HERE.
