Florida State extended a scholarship offer to Class of 2020 defensive end Will Anderson on Friday.
Anderson, from Dutchtown High in Hampton, Ga., is rated as the No. 402 overall prospect in the 2020 recruiting class and the No. 19 strong-side defensive end.
“Blessed to receive an offer from Florida State University,” Anderson wrote from his personal Twitter account.
Anderson (6-3, 235) also has scholarship offers from Auburn, N.C. State, Tennessee and Georgia Tech. FSU also recently offered Anderson’s teammate, three-star senior linebacker Kevon Glenn.
Dutchtown went 12-1 this season, allowing just 92 points. The 7.07 point-per-game average was the best of any team in Georgia’s AAAAA classification, and Anderson was a key part of the stingy defense as he recorded 16 sacks and an additional 16 tackles for loss. Anderson’s junior highlight film can be seen below:
With an explosive first step and good anticipation, Anderson could turn out to be one the top pass rushers in the 2020 class. His current 247Sports composite score is 0.8789.
