Florida State has offered a scholarship to three-star offensive guard Kamaar Bell.
Bell is from Colquitt County High in Moultrie, Ga., which is just 60 miles north of Tallahassee. The Seminoles offered the nearby prospect on Thursday evening, several hours after top interior lineman prospect Will Putnam picked Clemson over FSU.
Bell (6-3, 320) is rated as the No. 33 offensive guard in the country according to the 247Sports industry composite, and he’s the No. 573 overall prospect. With a thick build and a penchant for tossing around defenders, Bell falls under the mauler category for a lineman. He also plays with a mean streak, as you’ll see below:
Bell told Noles247 that he plans to take an official visit to FSU on January 25-27.
“I see a successful program that needs me and I wanna feel welcome and wanted at my official visit,” Bell said.
Bell was offered by area recruiter and special teams coordinator Alonzo Hampton.
He holds scholarship offers from Auburn, Florida, Alabama, Kentucky, Indiana and others. FSU has two other interior linemen already inked in four-star guard Dontae Lucas and three-star guard/center Maurice Smith.
