Florida State will be represented in the 2019 Senior Bowl after defensive tackle Demarcus Christmas was added to the all-star game roster.
Christmas, a three-year starter for the Seminoles, is heading to Mobile, Ala. on Sunday morning to join the South team. Jim Nagy, the executive director of the Reese’s Senior Bowl, announced Christmas’ addition on Saturday evening.
The annual all-star game will be held on Jan. 26 at 2:30 p.m. and will be televised on the NFL Network.
Practice begins on Tuesday and runs through Thursday prior to Saturday’s game. A full schedule can be found here.
Christmas is the lone FSU player to make the Senior Bowl roster at this time. The product of Bradenton had 106 tackles and 11.5 tackles for loss in his FSU career. He also had 13 passes defended, using his long arms to routinely impact passing lanes.
DraftScout.com has Christmas as the No. 9 rated defensive tackle in this year’s draft class.
