TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) — The Florida State Seminoles are looking for their fourth win of the season and their second conference victory of the campaign on Saturday against Wake Forest. How do they do it? Run the football.
Wake Forest has one of the worst rushing defenses in the nation, ranking 113th by giving up over 200 yards a game on the ground.
Of course, that’s one area that has been lacking for the Noles this season; neither Cam Akers or Jacques Patrick have eclipsed 100 yards rushing this year.
It’s an area the backs say they need they need to take advantage of on Saturday.
“You’ve got to capitalize on that if you want to be the team you say you are. You’ve got to capitalize on opportunities,” Patrick said. “I’m sure they’re going to come in and play hard, obviously, coming off a loss for them.
I’m sure they’re going to come in and play hard and not giving up the yards that they gave up and we’re Florida State so we get everybody’s best shot. I expect them to come in and play hard,” Patrick continued.
