Miami Hurricanes to face Miami (Ohio) RedHawks in 2023 game

Hard Rock Stadium will be crammed with Miami followers — and probably only Miami followers — when the two college soccer packages meet for the fourth time in history in 2023.

The Miami Hurricanes have scheduled a relatively baffling nonconference match with the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks for what appears to be the period opener of the 2023 period. The Hurricanes are set to host the RedHawks on Sept. 2, 2023, a resource verified Monday.

The RedHawks “will receive a $1.5 million promise for the match, for each a copy of the agreement obtained from Miami College,” in accordance to FBSchedules.com, which initially described the news.

The agreement in between the two universities is an agreement for the lone match at Hard Rock.

The two teams initially satisfied in 1945, then played once more a calendar year later on in 1946. The Hurricanes gained the initially meeting 27-13, then gained the next 20-17. The two universities most recently satisfied in 1987, when the then-No. 3 Hurricanes blew out the RedHawks, 54-3, en route to UM’s next countrywide title.

This is the 3rd nonconference match the Hurricanes have scheduled for 2023. They will also host the Texas A&M Aggies on Sept. 9 and participate in a road match versus the Temple Owls on Sept. 23. The Hurricanes have space for just one extra match on their agenda, which could be versus an FCS opponent.

The Hurricanes’ Atlantic Coastline Convention video games in 2023 will be at household versus the Ga Tech Yellow Jackets, Virginia Cavaliers, Virginia Tech Hokies and Boston College Eagles. Their road video games will be versus the Duke Blue Devils, North Carolina Tar Heels, Pittsburgh Panthers and Florida Condition Seminoles. The convention has not nevertheless announced dates for the video games.
