No. 15 Florida State vs. Troy

TALLAHASSEE — No. 15 Florida State hosts Troy on Monday evening at 8 p.m. from the Donald L. Tucker Center.

The game will be shown by Fox Sports South, with Wes Durham and Brian Oliver on the call. You can stream the game here.

The Seminoles (6-1, 0-0 ACC) last played on Wednesday, when they hosted and defeated Purdue. The Trojans (3-4, 0-0 Sun Belt) lost to Austin Peay on Thursday.

Series History: FSU has an 8-1 record against Troy. The series between the Seminoles and the Trojans began on Dec. 12, 1947 and was the second game in the history of the Florida State basketball program. The Seminoles won the first game played between the two teams – 57-37 in Tallahassee. Florida State enters its 2018 game against Troy with a seven-game winning streak in the series and has won every game in the series since a 68-64 win at Troy on Dec. 15, 1948. FSU’s lone loss in the series came on Jan. 30, 1948 at Troy, 49-48. FSU is 51-8 all-time against teams from the Sun Belt Conference.

Dominant at home: The Seminoles are 36-1 (.973 winning percentage) at home on non-ACC games since the beginning of the 2013-14 season. FSU has won 28 consecutive non-conference home games.

Going for 1K: Terance Mann enters Monday’s game with 986 career points and needs only 14 points to become the 47th player in school history with 1,000 or more career points scored.

Committee approach: Through the first seven games of the 2018-19 season, five different players have led (or been tied for the lead) in scoring for the Seminoles – Terance Mann (2, at Tulane, vs. UAB), Mfiondu Kabengele (2, Canisius, vs. Villanova), M.J. Walker (2, vs. LSU, Purdue), PJ Savoy (1, Florida) and Trent Forrest (1, vs. Villanova). The Seminoles enter Monday’s game against Troy with a total of 11 Seminoles having scored at least 10 points through the first seven games of the season.

Cleaning the glass: Florida State has outrebounded six of its first seven opponents and enters Monday’s game against Troy with a +6.7 rebounds per game margin. The Seminoles owned double figure margins in their wins over Canisius (+13) and LSU (+15). Florida State is averaging 35.4 rebounds per game and pulled down a season-high 43 in its victory over LSU in the semifinals of the AdvoCare Invitational (Nov. 23).
