Florida State offensive guard signee Dontae Lucas is enrolling at FSU today and he’s an absolute mauler.

In case you missed it Dontae Lucas isn’t the only Seminole enrolling today; Akeem Dent is too. FSU getting its most hotly pursued commitment enrolled for the spring is a big deal.

5-star 2020 Linebacker Antoine Sampah remains high on Florida State. (VIP)

He described the two schools – Clemson and FSU – as close in the race for his services at this time. Other schools mentioned by Sampah include LSU and Virginia Tech. Alabama and Penn State are other teams regularly discussed by Sampah. He hasn’t narrowed his list outside of recently having a top eight that included many of the aforementioned universities.

FSU safety commitment Nick Cross was impressive all week at the All-American Bowl and even more impressive during the game.

Junior college four-star linebacker Lakia Henry has decommitted from Tennessee:

He was recently offered by Florida State during an unofficial visit in December.

Four-star DB commitment Travis Jay impressed Rivals.com’s Mike Farrell at the Under-Armour All-America Game.

Football:

There’s a report that FSU has added Wesley McGriff to its staff; should it come to fruition it’s a tremendous hire for FSU as a DB coach and as a recruiter.

The first thing you do after being hired as Florida State’s offensive coordinator? Pay homage to a legend:

Justin Fields chose Ohio State; FSU will have to look elsewhere to improve its QB room.

Five years from yesterday; FSU won its third national title. Time flies.

Speaking of national titles; tonight is the night. Who’s winning Alabama or Clemson?

Other Sports:

It was a rough Saturday for FSU Basketball in Charlottesville; the box score reveals exactly where it went off the rails for FSU.

Women’s Basketball took care of business vs. North Carolina.

Derwin James is first-team all-pro as a rookie and he just got his first taste of playoff football at the NFL level.
