Noles News: Marvin Wilson, future All-American?

Football:

Won’t be many FSU players on the radar after a 5-7 season but the season that Marvin Wilson had last year is starting to gain notice.

A former five-star recruit, Wilson came into his own as a sophomore on Florida State’s new-look defense, finishing the season with 42 tackles, 3.5 sacks, four QB hurries and two pass breakups on a unit that allowed just 3.3 yards per rush up the middle, good for ninth nationally.

Three reasons for optimism about the 2019 Seminoles.

For the first time in a long time; FSU will play every single game on a Saturday.

Recruiting:

FSU is after another grad transfer offensive lineman. (VIP)

They’re also evaluating another JUCO offensive lineman. (VIP)

One thing is clear; FSU wants its fresh blood to be grown men.

If you’re wondering why Akeem Dent lost his fifth star on the Composite Rankings; it’s because ESPN dropped him to 93rd overall.

The 2019 class is mostly done and a 2020 Junior Day Visit is right around the corner. (VIP)

Other Sports:

Florida State will be facing a desperate Boston College team as it tries to get back on track.

Women’s Basketball took care of business last night:

Alumni:

Ronald Darby and Lamarcus Joyner will both be Free Agents which means they’re set for a big payday.

Brian Burns will join fellow Seminole Graham Gano according to this Mock Draft.
