What would a ‘dream finish’ look like for FSU recruiting?

Florida State’s recruiting class sits at No. 13 nationally heading into a pivotal weekend in which the Seminoles are expected to host more than a dozen of their top targets.

A majority of this weekend’s efforts — which you can read about here — will be to lockdown current pledges who expect to sign with FSU during the early signing period (Dec. 19-21). This will essentially kickoff the final push for FSU as it tries to complete its class by adding some star power and key positions of need after a 5-7 campaign in 2018.

FSU has a solid foundation for its 2019 class, but adding more is essential if Willie Taggart is truly going to turn the program around. The Seminoles have major needs along the offensive line and are also looking to add impact players along their front seven on defense. Filling those positions with blue-chip players is plausible to an extent, but expecting FSU to load up on elite talent across the board could be a bit of a pipe dream given that we’ve seen the Seminoles expand their recruiting board in recent weeks.

Realistically, FSU will probably fill its needs by blending some star power with under-the-radar types. But it’s fun to dream about what a best-case scenario would look like for FSU, right?

So what would be a “dream finish” for the Seminoles?

Going over FSU’s primary needs and the recruits that the Seminoles have invested time in, Noles247 lists those who could help comprise a dream finish for FSU (if it lands them). We understand that FSU will not land all of the following players and are long shots in a few cases, but the Seminoles at least have a chance with all of these recruits…and securing commitments from even half of them would set up a brighter future for FSU.
